Harford County Crisis Response

Harford Crisis Response is operated by the Office on Mental Health/Core Service Agency of Harford, Inc. They are available via phone call 24/7 for adults and children who are struggling with behavioral health & addictions issues. If you or someone you love is struggling with addiction or a mental health issue, and you do not know what to do next, call 1-800-NEXT-STEP (local number: 410-874-0711).

The Klein Family Center

The Klein Family Center (KFC) and Office on Mental Health/Core Service Agency of Harford, Inc. collaborate to form the central point of access for crisis services in Harford County. For on-site crisis services, the KFC has walk-in services from 9am-9pm, 7 days a week.

THE HARFORD COMMUNITY ACTION AGENCY (HCAA)

The Harford Community Action Agency (HCAA) is available to help all Harford County residents who are experiencing financial hardships in meeting their housing, food, energy/heating, and/or budget and family counseling needs, while helping residents pave a path to self-sufficiency.

MENTAL HEALTH REHABILITATION PROGRAMS

 

Residential Rehabilitation Program

The Residential Rehabilitation Program (RRP) is offered by 2 providers within Harford County. This community-based program is designed to provide supported housing, along with assistance developing and maintaining independent living skills. Staff are in the homes daily to collaborate with residents to guide them towards achieving their goals and to identify barriers and solutions if needed and are available to answer questions at any time of day.

Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program

Adult Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) provides a full range of psychiatric rehabilitation services for individuals with severe and persistent mental illness reach a higher level of independence. The program’s goals are to promote achievement of physical and behavioral health goals, independence, community living skills and create a foundation for ongoing wellness.

RECOVERY SUPPORT SERVICES

Recovery is a process of change through which individuals improve their health and wellness, live self-directed lives, and strive to reach their full potential. The recovery process is unique to each person, and involves overcoming shame and stigma, experiencing an increased sense of self-efficacy, purpose, and direction in life, and increasing connections to family, community, or social support.
